About Plankville

Brent and Sally Curtis bought an existing sawmill and timber machining business in May 2005. They renamed the business ‘Plankville.’

In the years since, Brent and Sally have worked hard to shape Plankville into what they term ‘the friendliest little sawmill in the Top of the South’. Their many happy customers certainly agree – the business retains and builds on that infectious, kiwi small business charm that is getting harder and harder to find in these days of big-box retailers and diminishing customer focus.

Brent has spent most of his working life in the sawmilling and logging industry. Brent’s knowledge of different varieties of timber is an exclusive advantage for all their customers. He can help shape your project with the right advice on strength, longevity and aesthetic appeals.

Brent and Sally (and now young Zoë!) have a great appreciation and feeling for beautiful timber and would love to share this with you – just call on in.
